Minutes of the First General Body Meeting

Date: 25-09-2013								Venue: Thakur Dass Bhargava

Around 13 principals had gathered at Thakur Dass Bhargava Sen. Sec. Model School, Hisar to form
a Sahodaya at Hisar. The members present were:


1.	Fr. Anthony (St. Francis Xavier School)
2.	Mr. Atul Jaggi (Darshan Academy)
3.	Mr. Mathew Varghese (M.D.M.M.S.)
4.	Mr. Praveen Kumar (Thakur Dass Bhargava Sen. Sec. Model School)
5.	Ms. Neeru Bhatia (Shree Krishna Pranami Public School)
6.	Ms. Anita Bhandri (The Aryan School)
7.	Mr. N.S. Sehrawat (Holy Angel School)
8.	Mr. Balvinder Singh (Sukh Ram Memorial Public School)
9.	Mr. Rajender Singh (Aryan School, Agroha)
10.	 Ms. Shailly Mehta (St. Mary`s School)
11.	Mr. Harish Sachdeva (D.P.S. Hisar)
12.	Ms. Suneta Behll (I.D.D.A.V.P.School)
13.	Mr. Rajender Sachdeva (D.A.V.P.P.S. Hisar)
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Praveen Patpatia. He welcomed all the members,
 in his address he appreciated the initiative taken by Mr. Mathew Varghese, Principal, Moga Devi 
 Minda Memorial School to bring the C.B.S.E. Principals to one place. Then the members unanimously
  elected Ms. Sunita Behll, Principal, I.D.D.A.V. Public School, Hisar to preside over the meeting.
   She humbly accepted the offer and took over the chair.
With the permission of the chair Mr. Mathew Varghese spelt out the aims and objectives of the Sahodaya
 and he circulated a tentative draft of the Bye- Laws to the members.
First of all the members after a brain storm named the Sahodaya i.e. “Hisar Sahodaya Schools”. Later
 with permission of the chair Mr. Mathew read out the draft of the Bye- Laws one by one to be discussed 
 among the members. After a brain storm the members finalized the Bye- Laws of Hisar Sahodaya Schools. 
 Every member had actively participated in the discussion and contributed in framing the Bye Laws.
  The points discussed were:-
1.	Name of the Sahodaya, Office.
2.	Membership/ New Members.
3.	Cessation of membership.
4.	General Body and its Powers.
5.	Executive Body and its Responsibilities.
6.	Powers and Functions of the Executive Body.
7.	Election.
8.	Frequency of General Body Meetings.
9.	Quorum.
10.	Funds.
11.	Audit.
12.	Jurisdiction etc.

Later the members after a discussion unanimously elected the following members to the Executive Body.
1.	President- Mr. Praveen Patpatia, Principal of Thakur Dass Bhargava Sen. Sec. Model School, Hisar.
2.	Vice- President- Ms. Anita Bhandari, Principal, The Aryan School, Hisar.
3.	Secretary- Mr. Mathew Varghese, Principal, Moga Devi Minda Memorial School, Bagla,  Hisar.
4.	Treasurer- Mr. N.S. Sehrawat, Principal, Holy Angels School, Hisar.
Later the members unanimously decided to hold next meeting on 23rd October, 2013 at Sukh Ram Memorial
 Public School, Kalirawan, Hisar. The members also discussed various activities to be undertaken by Hisar
  Sahodaya Schools. Some of them were:
I.	Inter House literary and sports competitions.
II.	Exchange programmes for students and teachers.
III.	Teachers Training.
IV.	Discussion of C.B.S.E. circulars and C.C.E. implementation etc.
It was also discussed that the executive members would meet a week before the General Body Meeting and 
frame agenda for the next meeting and e-mail to the members. They will invite other C.B.S.E. schools 
(Who are not members) to the Sahodaya. The members had authorized the Executive Body to register the 
Sahodaya with the C.B.S.E. and also open an account in the Oriental Bank of Commerce Extension Counter 
Govt. College, Hisar. It will be jointly operated by the treasurer & the President.
The meeting ended with a vote of Thanks.
